SiLaSpaCe progress and review meeting August 1st and 2nd 2017

The SiLaSpaCe consortium was welcomed very warmly at Umicore in Olen (Belgium) for the second progress meeting (August 1^st) and the annual review meeting (August 2^nd). During the progress meeting, actual results were presented by all partners and a detailed discussion about the work for the next month took place. After the discussions, Dr. Rufi Kurstjens from Umicore showed the group around the Umicore site and explained the different steps of crystallization and wafering of Ge crystals.

The second day, the annual review meeting took place and the consortium was assisted by the project officer Rémy Charavel from the European Commission and by the external reviewer Dr. N.J. Ekins-Daukes from Imperial College, London. Both, the PO and the reviewer were satisfied with the results presented from the first year of the project and had some interesting ideas for further experiments and dissemination.
